Art Glass Lily with Metal Deer Figure Holder
Ever Want to Bag a 12-Point Buck? Here's your chance without firing a shot. This piece was purchased at our very first antique auction. It was a Woody auction long ago and we bought it because it had a great look. We didn't know much then and we still don't know anything about this piece. The deer holder is made of a light metal which shows through where worn on the bottom. A patina was applied to make it look like bronze. The glass has a beautiful green edge and doesn't have chips or cracks. One antler is slightly bent from packing. It apparently was used to hold flowers because there is still a slight residue at the bottom. Joints such as where the wire to hold the vase was applied appears to be soldered on with residue showing. As to age we can only say it was purchased over 30 years ago - when we first moved to Woodsland. We've never seen anything else like it.....
